Register for 'Mirror's Edge Catalyst' Closed Beta Now

The follow-up to 2008's pop Mirror's Edge is slated to launch on May 24, but some lucky gamers will have a run a risk to step back into protagonist Faith'south shoes a picayune early.

EA's Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment (Dice) studio, which is developing the championship, on Thursday appear that a closed beta for Mirror'due south Border Catalyst is on the manner. The company also released a new story trailer to hype the upcoming title.

"Nosotros've been dying to show you more from Mirror's Edge Catalyst — and now's the time," Die wrote on the game's website. "With this new trailer you lot will get to know Religion better through glimpses of her amazing journey — from carefree thrill-seeker to true heroine."

DICE promised to share more than virtually Religion's story, the metropolis of Drinking glass, and gameplay details in the coming months, then sit tight.

In the meantime, those interested in participating in the airtight beta can sign up now for the take a chance to be function of it. The beta will exist available for PlayStation4, Xbox One, and PC.

News of the beta comes after Die in Oct pushed back the game's release engagement a few months. Senior producer Sara Jansson said the studio will use the extra time to "make sure that when you step into the massive city of Glass and experience the rise of Faith, it's every bit entertaining, impressive, and memorable as it tin can be."
